Do you charge to come out
and look at the job?
No, we do not charge. The most
professional way to proceed is to
undertake a site visit, take
measurements, discuss appropriate
materials and then provide an
accurate quotation.
Will I need to pay a deposit?
Yes. We will require 25% of the
agreed price prior to commencement
of order. You will immediately receive
an insurance-backed warranty which
protects your investment.
Where will you start work, in
a house full of windows?
Normal procedure is to start upstairs,
at the highest level, and work down.

My wooden frame is rotten.
Can you supply and install
a new frame as well?
Yes. We can replicate the original
dimensions and mouldings in a wide
range of timber products. Our
carpenters are also able to make
minor repairs to original timber
frames.
How long will it take to do
my Windows?
Our surveyor will give you a good
indication of how long to allow after
measuring your windows. As our
installers are skilled tradesmen and
directly employed by THWC they
take their time to ensure a
professional result.

What happens to the old
windows and doors?
They are taken to a registered Waste
Disposal Centre by our installers at
no further cost to you.
What time will the fitters start
and finish?
Generally we work from 8:00am to
5:00pm Monday to Friday and on
Saturdays if required to finish an
installation.
Your terms state payment on
completion. Please explain what this means?
We wish to be paid promptly. However,
you are at liberty to take a couple of
days should you wish to inspect our
work closely. No pressure for payment
will be applied by our installers.

I’ve heard some horror stories about window
fitters. What are yours like?
Most window fitters are self-
employed and on a price per job:
hence they are always in a hurry.
Our installers are directly
employed and are of clean-cut
appearance. They will respect
your home and its occupants.
They will not smoke on the
premises or play radios and will
clear old materials on a daily
basis. A refreshingly different
approach.
