The Medway towns of Gillingham, Chatham and Rochester inspired Charles Dickens to write some of his most famous works and were also the setting of some of the most important moments in British history. First recorded in the 10th century as ‘Gyllingeham’, nowadays Gillingham is an important retail centre, serving the local Medway community.

Gillingham has a bi-weekly market, and strong maritime and military connections with the Historic Dockyard in nearby Chatham and the Royal Engineers barracks based in the town. The Royal Engineers Museum is a must for anyone interesting in military history, with galleries, displays and rare items on show, including the Duke of Wellington’s battle map used in the Battle of Waterloo. The town is home to Gillingham F.C., who were first elected to the Football League in 1920.

With such historic architecture in the town and surrounding Medway area, we are proud to have provided many aluminium window and door installations within Gillingham and the surrounding area, including:

Aluminium Windows

Bi-Fold Doors
