Bicester has a history which dates back thousands of years and the town was even recorded in the Domesday Book. Nowadays, Bicester is one of Oxfordshire’s most attractive towns, with a charming 16th century market which is still the focal point of the town every Friday.
Like much of Oxfordshire, Bicester’s architecture is defined by its picturesque honey-coloured stone buildings, making it a favourite among photo-hungry tourists. It also packs plenty of history but is probably best known today for its modern ‘Bicester Village’ shopping outlet which sells goods from almost 100 high-end international and British designers.
